Summer!

I can't believe summer is almost over! Every day I get a little closer to moving to NY with Joel :)
These past few months have been hard not having him around. I have lots to keep me busy though. Working on trying to get the house in order to move, learning all the new things I have to learn about my new job. Speaking of new jobs both Joel and I are LOVING our new jobs. I am sad that I am going to have to be leaving mine. I love my unit as well as all the people I work with. It is going really well and I am learning tons!
Some fun from this summer:
Joel and Christopher at the Family Reunion at California.

My Best friend in the entire world is getting married in October! So exciting :). She was down in California from portland for a friend of hers wedding and we went out in San Francisco to celebrate!

My summer would have been so much longer and worse waiting for it to be december if it hadn't been for another of my best friends Jenn!! We had a great time floating down the river and hanging out at my house. I am also excited that she is going to be ONLY 3 hours from Albany when I move to NY

Getting ready to head down the truckee river.

In more exciting news on September 10th I became an Aunt again! My sister Erika who is ALSO 3 hours from Albany (In a different direction than Jenn) Had an adorable little girl.

Meet Rena Susan Warner.

Graduation!

Is coming so fast. It is officially less than two months away. It almost doesn't feel real that in that short of a time we will both be finished with college! I don't think we are going to the actual graduation though. From my experience with graduations it is usually boring and long and often hot. :) However, as a nursing student I do have convocation to go to, which is a graduation ceremony with me and the 46 other nursing students I have gone through school with. That should be lots of fun because I will actually know everyone walking across the stage. All that is left after that is pass NCLEX and hopefully get a job. I had job interviews last week at Renown here in Reno, I think they went well and I should find out next week more information on how they went. I still can't believe it is so close. Joel and I are SUPER excited. Joel of course is SUPER busy as well. He is working sooooo hard this semester, as he has since he went back to school. It is a little crazy, but it will all be worth it come May.

Here is the newest addition to our family, Symba!

It's been a while!

So I just realized that I have not posted a new blog since AUGUST! Okay I am a slacker. Joel and I have been soooo busy with school this last year. However, the end is in sight. We both Graduate in MAY!! Something that we are both so very excited about.
We had a good winter break, even though Joel had to take a winter session class. It was nice to have the time off school, almost 5 weeks for myself and 2 for Joel. Joel as usual has been busy working on school work and programming projects even when he is not in class! I have been enjoying my time off school, studying a little for my liscensing exam and working a bunch. I had a nice visit down with my family in Sacramento for a few days!
In other news we just got a new dog! We adopted him through the Humane Society. Symba is a 4 year old German Shepherd/Rottweiler. He is adorable and him and Rasha seem to get getting along okay. He is very well behaved and housebroken, knows a few commands and does well on a leash. All very exciting for a dog from the shelter. We just have good luck it seems.

Here are some pictures from our recent adventures!

We got a pretty decent amout of snow at the beginning of september! The dogs LOVED IT! Rassha especially loved running around in the snow.

We had a really fun Halloween party! I was a fairy! Joel dressed as Billy Idol, complete with awesome hairdo as well!
